Hi, I’m Antonio Solano-Román.

A technical designer and a systems thinker at the intersection of UX, data visualization, and complex problems.

I am currently a Lead Product Designer at Flatiron Health, helping improve the experience of clinical trials for people living with cancer.

UX FOR DATA DISCOVERY

I strive to build products that support design initiatives across an organization and are effortless to scale. To that end, I have designed several interfaces that enable multi-million dollar products by allowing non-technical users to access complex, relational databases.

Bioinformatics

I am passionate about work that is both technically challenging and mission-driven. I have designed visualization apps for the study of the genetic differences of viruses and for understanding molecular changes in human proteins that may cause diseases.

I also sometimes advise the OpenTargets project with UX and usability recommendations.

Other cool things

Sometimes I like to play with code and create expressive representations of data. I also think there is value in exploring unconventional UIs.
